Dr Mike McRae

Well-versed in all aspects of equine care, Dr McRae has a lifetime of devoted horse care. Mike has particular interest in the diagnosis and treament of lameness, as well as advanced training in dentistry, radiography and ultrasound diagnostics. He has served on the external advisory board of his alma mater, UC Davis, and continues to collaborate with clinicans and practioners throughout Northern California.

Whether your horse is a Pony Club partner, a gaited companion or an Olympic prospect, Dr McRae’s clinical eye and advanced treatment technologies will help you to keep your equine partner healthy and sound.

Lori Gould

Assisting since 2002, Lori brings a wealth of practical experience. She is an outstanding horse handler and works alongside doctors on the clinical team. As a life long horse owner, she understands the concerns of both patients and clients.

Aleta Barrett

Aleta is a Nevada County native and an NU graduate. After college and time away, she has returned to the area and we were lucky to get her to help us out in the office.

Aleta and her husband run Starbright Acres Family Farm in Grass Valley.
